Fort Myers Beach OVER VIEW
Let Chris explain where Fort Myers Beach is in the South West Florida metropolitan area. As you start at the Interstate just South of the Caloosahatchee (pronounced "ka-LOOSE-a-HAT-chee" River bridge (Pineland Road exit), Moving South and West is Fort Myers, then Fort Myers Beach, then Sanibel Island then the Gulf water.
Fort Myers Beach, is the World's Safest Beach, because the surf has no undertow and the sandy beach has very shallow water. You can walk the 7-mile length of the island along its sandy Beach shores. Fort Myers Beach is a town located on Estero Island and its sister island, San Carlos Island in Lee County.
Fort Myers Beach is a small tropical Island, seven miles long and in no place is it wider than one mile. On twin Islands hugging close to the mainland, it is a tropical life with beaches, fishing, shopping, dinning, golf, tennis and entertainment venues everywhere.
It is home to the Edison beach home and just next door to the mainland with the Edison Estate. There are many community events and fun opportunities to visit, such as Fort Myers Beach Annual Shrimp Parade.
The town has a preponderance of condominium homes, both high and medium rise. But there are many detached homes, low rise condominiums and town homes as well.
